When you walk down the hallways of  Bishop Blanchet, you will see a lot of stripes.

Shoe trends change very rapidly at Blanchet, but right now the trend is Adidas.

“I just like the feel and the look of Adidas,” said senior Charlie Clemente.

A big contribution to the reincarnation of Adidas are the famous people wearing them. John Wall, Damion Lilliard, Derrick Rose, and Tim Duncan are some of may NBA superstars wearing three stripes.

“When I see some of the guys I look up to wearing Adidas,” said freshman Tommy Gardner, “it makes me want to be like them and get some too.”

Another big reason they are coming back is not just for athletic purposes. They are becoming one of the more popular street shoes. The Stan Smith’s are becoming a very fashionable shoe for all types of people.

Business Insider said, “The shoe’s simple design and clean white color have made it such a permanent fixture.”

The shoe is named after famous retired tennis player, Stan Smith. The shoe was released for him in 1963, but is just now breaking through.

Smith said, “It’s fun to see people from all walks of life coming back to the shoe.”

Step aside Nike, Converse, and Vans. Adidas is making a comeback.
