Blanchet Golf’s Hopeful Future

The Blanchet golf program is beginning their season with a rough start having lost their latest match against Lakeside this Monday, the 12th of September.

For Blanchet golf, the start of the year has been rocky. The team is adjusting to the loss of Girl’s golf coach Anna Comfort, and of course all of the new players on the team. Things aren’t looking so bad for the future, however.

“We actually have potential,” says Edie O’Connor, a captain of the Girl’s golf team “if we can get ourselves to be consistent then we’ll be really good.”

Men’s coach Sean Gaskill is filling in for the Girl’s team as their coach, and the team is satisfied with his methods. Drills that are entertaining, as well as good practice, are helping the team keep motivated and stay focused.

Despite a perceptible shortcoming, the Blanchet golf program shows potential for rising up above the expectations. Either way, at the end of the day it’s all about having fun.
