JV Boys Basketball Jolts Back Into Shape

The JV boys basketball team is back to its winning ways with back-to-back wins against Chief Sealth and Ingraham. They now have a 7-3 record over half way through the season. They are on track to end the season with a great record.

“We are playing really well currently,” said coach Bruce Richardson. “Players are developing rapidly, and one or two may get moved up to the varsity level in the immediate future.”

The team is getting so good that they may lose a few players to the varsity team. Hopefully, if they do, it won’t affect their play in a negative way.

“We have lots of momentum right now,” said Sophomore forward Kohl Peterson. “We had a few tough games, but have bounced back nicely. I think we can continue to improve as the season goes on.”

The team started the season with a fantastic 5-1 record. They dropped their next two games against tough opponents but have bounced back nicely with two straight wins.

“We are working well as a team,” said Sophomore guard Michael Byrne. “We need to work on our defense a little but our chemistry is awesome. I think we will be able to keep up the momentum throughout the rest of the season.”
