“Teachers and students, please excuse this interruption.”

A usual morning at Blanchet consists of the school bell ringing at eight o’clock. However, far too often this year have we heard Dean Augustavo come on over the intercom at about 8:05, informing teachers that there is bad traffic, and that students will be admitted to class late.

It seems that almost once a week, so many students are showing up late that the deans have no choice but to admit them all to class.
Seattle traffic, although horrible, is always avoidable with proper preparation. The journalism staff would like to remind students to please attempt to accommodate for traffic in the mornings. If you need to leave your house 5 minutes early, do so. It is hard for first period teachers to start their class when people are absent or coming late.
