JV Girls Soccer Strives for Improvement

The Braves JV girls soccer team started out this season strong, but recently they have been suffering some tough losses.

With great chemistry and bonding within the team, these lady Braves have no issue having fun on the field. They continue to push themselves and persevere in the game, but since their September 13th game at Bainbridge they have been struggling to earn a win.

Having a record of 3-7-1, the team hopes to increase their wins by the end of the season, and has various goals to do so.

“We’re doing well with our touches and speed,” said one of the captains, freshman Alex Ruiz, “but we could do better with our focus and enthusiasm at practice which would really carry into the games.”

“We need to work on our communication,” said junior Zoe Langley.

While the team has many goals to improve, there has also been plenty of positives to their season so far.

“We have really good friendships on team,” said Ruiz “and there’s not a lot of drama. When we win we all get really excited, and we’ve been working on improving our skills for the rest of this season and the next.”

The Braves play Seattle Prep at home on October 18.
