Sink Your Teeth into The Vampire Diaries

Sink Your Teeth into The Vampire Diaries

One example of a show made for binge watching would be CW’s The Vampire Diaries. The first episode aired in September of 2009, and the show is still going strong with a total of 8 seasons and 171 episodes.

Luckily for binge watchers like me, there are 7 seasons at the moment on Netflix, but the show is currently airing it’s last season. However, if 8 seasons of vampire goodness and drama isn’t enough for you, the show also has a spin-off series set in New Orleans called The Originals.

Some may look at a show with a name like The Vampire Diaries and write it off as a show exclusively for teenage girls, but don’t be swayed by the name. While this series definitely has appeal to teenagers with lots of drama and an attractive cast, it has something for almost everyone with some fantasy, mystery, and thriller elements.

I myself was introduced to the show through a group of football-playing teenage boys, and I came to discover that some of my adult family members also followed the show. This show is the equivalent to a TV page turner, and it’s easy to lose track of time while watching.

All in all, this show might not be for everyone–if you’re looking for a non-fiction type of show, this would not be it. But if you want to lose yourself in a storyline and start caring about Nina Dobrev’s fictional life more than your own, start watching TVD today.
