The Bowling Semi Finals Begin!

On Wednesday, January 31st, Bishop Blanchet’s bowling team started their semi finals at Spin Alley to start a end to their 2018 season.

The matches played at Spin Alley on Wednesday welcomed two teams who won their matches and will go onto the championship, which will take place in two weeks.

“Well it was fun, but our team had an off day,” said senior Nate Maw. “So we lost, but we are still in the running for third place.”

The first team, The Jackson 5, who will advance, includes Jesus Nicolas, Ben Allen, Elena Bermejo, Christina Savio, and Cesar Glick. The second team, Don’t Stop Bowlevin, to advance includes Greta Geivett, Gianna Marchese, Kate Landry, Allie Boyle, and Molly Miska.

“Bowling is chill,” said senior Jack Dingfield. “Sometimes Mr. McGill doesn’t remember the scores so it is good for my team!”

There were some incredible scores of the night. Lindsey Rappe bowled herself a 147, while John Skinner got himself a nice 127. Also, Elyssa Williamson made her own new personal record.

“I’m a little sad bowling is going to finish soon,” said junior Kyle Scott. “It is always so fun to go out and bowl with friends!”

With the next few weeks being a little wacky with Blanchet’s schedule, swing by Mr. McGill’s room if you are interested in catching one of the last matches for this year’s Bowling team.
