Ewan Carothers, sophomore, joins the Miter as a staff writer this year. They get their news primarily from radio stations from radio like KUOW, KEXP, and international news agencies such as the BBC.

At Blanchet they are a member of the trivia team, the ultimate frisbee team, and a member of One Body. They hope that this year they can do greater amounts of extracurricular activities, and to build more community via One Body. In their free time they enjoy skiing with family and are very much are interested in politics and history.

Ewan hopes to offer a fresh perspective in journalism and at Bishop Blanchet. As they personally aren't religious, they wish to give a different voice and perspective, especially in regards to how religion affects students. Overall they look forward to a fresh and exciting year with journalism at the forefront.
