On Wednesday, October 1st, the Bishop Blanchet JV volleyball team took on Eastside Catholic School’s volleyball team in their eleventh game of the volleyball season. The game took place at Bishop Blanchet’s home gym, where the team managed to defeat Eastside Catholic with a remarkable final score of 3-0 in sets.
On the court, the Bears showed teamwork, coordination and resilience throughout the game, carrying momentum up until their victory. Bishop Blanchet easily won each set against Eastside Catholic, continuing the Bishop Blanchet JV Volleyball team’s almost perfect score of 8-1 this season.
During every set, the Bears gave it their all, using on-point communication and teamwork to outplay and outmaneuver the Crusaders on the court. The Bears held composure against the Crusaders, able to dominate each set of the match.
Bishop Blanchet has had a strong performance in volleyball in recent years. In the ‘24-’25 school year, the team wrapped up their season with a record of 18-9, finishing 3rd in the Metro Championship, qualifying them for the District Tournament, where they placed 5th overall.
The JV Volleyball team will face off against Lakeside on the 6th of October, 2025 at Lakeside’s home gym. The team hopes to carry this momentum into their next match and continue their streak of victories and further establish themselves as one of the top teams in the league.
If the match against Eastside Catholic is any indication, the Bears are not only playing to win; they’re playing with purpose, passion, and a growing sense of confidence that could carry them deep into a memorable season.
