Mateo Spath, a senior, joins the Miter this year as a staff writer. He gets his news from watching channels like KIRO 7 and KING 5, and national news from the ABC news.

At Blanchet he participated in sports up until junior year, and now he focuses on work and a business he runs on the side. He hopes to keep school spirit and school morale high throughout the year. Outside of school he works at Seattle Golf Club and enjoys working on his car. He enjoys being outside and facing challenges by going camping and hiking. Overall he is an outgoing person who loves to meet new people.

This year in journalism Mateo hopes to capture the soul of Blanchet through going to school events and working hard to make the yearbook as entertaining as possible.
