The RMS Titanic cruise ship sank 100 years ago, killing about 1500 passengers and crew. Only 350 of them were found floating in their life jackets spread out by a 50 mile radius, days after the wreck (TheWeek).

Titanic specialists question whether the remaining bodies are scattered across the sea floor, or are still stuck inside the Titanic. The state of the bodies would depend on the amount of oxygen exposed to the bodies trapped inside. They may still be behind doors in rooms with low oxygen levels enabling the bodies to stay in tact.

Several new photos were unveiled of the ship indicating a pair of boots and a coat which could possibly prove this theory true. The photo suggests that the boot is still on a the foot from a passenger’s body mainly because of the shape and perfect form of the boot. Could this mean there are still bodies on the ship?

The controversy has suddenly arose because of this single picture. The photo was originally cropped and published in a book, however researchers recently found the uncropped version from 2004’s expedition of the Titanic.

Most skeptics believe that anybody has long since decomposed from the time of the wreckage. They have never seen humans remains and we may never know if there are bodies still trapped inside the Titanic or not. The question remains a mystery.
