Junior cheerleader Avery Knutson made her first appearance as a cheerleader at the Bishop Blanchet High School football game on September 6, 2024. As the Bears faced off against Monroe High School, Averys’s spirited performance grabbed the attention of the crowd and made for a memorable start to her cheerleading journey.
Avery, who joined the cheerleading squad this year, was both nervous and excited as she took the sidelines. Her enthusiasm was reciprocated by the crowd as she performed her routine with confidence, cheering for the Bears with energy that was contagious.
“I was so excited to finally perform in front of the crowd after all the work we put in over the summer,” Knutson said, smiling after the game. “It felt amazing to be part of the team and to finally perform together. I can’t wait for the rest of the season!”
Cheer captains Sydney Klooster and Marie-Clemance Martin were impressed by Avery’s performance. “Avery did an amazing job for her first game. Her energy and dedication really showed. We’re so excited to have her on the squad and look forward to seeing her grow throughout the season,” Martin said.
The Bears fought hard during this game, and Knutson’s cheering added energy and excitement to the crowd as she showed off her amazing high jumps. As the season progresses, she will continue to bring her enthusiasm and energy to the sidelines, cheering on her team and getting the fans excited.
