JV Football opens with a win

The JV football team was victorious in their season debut yesterday, beating Mercer Island 32-20.

After falling behind by two touchdowns, the  Braves played great defense, recording seven sacks and interceptions by Sophomores Justin Brown, Kyle Morris and Carter Custer.

According to his coaches, Parker Jonas played an all-around phenomenal game with two sacks that forced fumbles as well as a sack for a safety.

The offense was led by Hunter Redmon who threw for 234 yards and four touchdowns, two to Stewart Blaikie and one each to Troy Alan and Parker Jonas.

Sophomore Joey Riley threw his first career touchdown finding John Steele for an eight yard score to ice the game.

The JV team will play their first home game next Monday versus Lake Washington High School at 6 pm.
