At the start of every weekday, the morning reflection is announced over the speakers and gives students the opportunity to reflect on their day ahead through prayer. Although, the special importance of this weeks announcements are reminders on how we, the Bishop Blanchet students and faculty, can appreciate the values of everyone of our peers, ourselves and any human in general through the Love Life week campaign.

Surrounding the hallways are papers and loose slips with motivational sayings, giving  students the opportunity to bless one another with compliments encouraging them to love life and recognize their importance in the Brave community.

Lauren White, Love Life head chair, comments on the importance of this week, “we wanted to present just a few of the issues that we feel strongly about that are important when it comes to respecting life,” said White, “so we tried to pick a variety of serious topics and more general topics like respect in general or bullying and tried to weigh controversial topics with topics that are less controversial so that everyone can think about these issues and hopefully start a dialogue.”

The Love Life club hosts an all school mass on Friday, October 23rd, and a fundraiser for Syrian refugees. Along with these events, the club will also be passing out Fair Trade chocolate for their day of justice.
