With a win over the #9 ranked team, Real Salt Lake, in the Western Conference on Sunday October 25th, the #4 ranked, Seattle Sounders, have scored their way into a playoff game on Wednesday October 28th against number #5 ranked, LA Galaxy.

The previous meetings between these two teams, since April 2015, has led to a tie, and two wins by the LA Galaxy.

With the first round of playoffs being Knockout round, Wednesday could be the end of the line for the Sounders or just the initial step on the continuing road towards the MLS Cup.

Following the game on Wednesday, a win for the Seattle Sounders would either mean playing FC Dallas or the Vancouver Whitecaps depending on the game between Sporting Kansas City and the Portland Timbers leading into the Conference Semifinal round.

With the unbeatable duo of midfielder, Clint Dempsey, and forward, Obafemi Martins, the Sounders are truly a force to be reckoned with. On the other end, midfielder, Sebastian Lleget, and forward, Robbie Keane, are another pairing that seems to be a hot buzz.

A strong attacking line like the LA Galaxy’s, being led by #3 ranked leading scorer in the MLS, Robbie Keane, is a challenge any team must face, but who better to stop them than the Sounders? With only 36 goals allowed, the Sounders are tied fewest for the number of goals allowed on their defense.

An obvious rivalry between the two teams, the LA Galaxy kicked the Seattle Sounders out of finals last year; this game is bound to be one for the books.
