Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

As temperatures continue to drop in the great Pacific Northwest, many people are wondering, where is the snow?

With Seattle’s last, large snow storm in 2012, the lack of the winter weather in the past few years has caused anxiety for many of the skiers and snowboarders in the area desperately hanging onto the hope for their favorite ski resorts around the area to get massive amounts of snow or to open in general.

The end of November launched many openings to favorite ski resorts in the PNW, such as, Stevens Pass, Crystal Mountain and Mt. Baker, but unfortunately the local hub, The Summit at Snoqualmie, and the neighboring ski resorts, have yet to open for the season.

Rest assured, fellow ski bums, this week marks a drastic blizzard hitting your favorite destinations, leaving fresh snow along the bases and hopefully the opening of the Snoqualmie resorts this weekend.

According to The Seattle Times, The National Weather Service has predicted almost two feet of snow, east of Seattle, at the pass within the next day.

For those that are not a fan of the snow, fair warning that many of the roads will be slick and covered with ice as our white Christmas in the Northwest is fast approaching.

As Christmas approaches and the holidays are in full swing, what a better way to live out the spirit of the season by skiing and snowboarding at some of the most acclaimed resorts in North America and at the beloved resorts we have all grown to love.
