JV Boys fall to Franklin in overtime

On Tuesday December 15th, the JV Boys basketball team headed south for a game against the Quaker’s of Franklin High School. The team was hesitant coming into the game because of several players out because of injury.

One player stated, “Injuries are plaguing our team. We have three or four players that can’t play and once they return, we should be pretty good.”

But this didn’t stop the Braves from starting the game off strong. They were ahead in the first half.

The Quaker’s were quick and always kept the Braves on their toes. In the second half, due to Franklin’s speed, Blanchet got tired and worn out.

Sophomore, Matthew Moloney hit a bank three pointer late in the second half that brought the Braves to a tie and led to overtime. The JV team was outscored 10-3 and took the loss for the night.

“We have been having trouble finishing games,” said  sophomore player, Simon Serwold.  “The last couple games we have blown leads in the second half, and that can’t happen.”
