Undefeated and short handed, Brave girls win 58-20

The BBHS women’s varsity basketball team continued their perfect streak and came out on top against Franklin 58-20 on Wednesday, December 16, 2015.

The Braves started the night off hot scoring 18 points in the first quarter and keeping their opponents at only 2 points.

Junior, Taylor Chambers, was the team’s top scorer and ended the night with 13 points. Senior Lee Erickson was right behind her and added 9 points for the team.

All and all, nine Braves added points to the scoreboard and helped the team hold a strong lead throughout the game’s entirety.

Junior Jadyn Bush sat the game out with a slight knee injury but is expected to make a comeback in the next few days.

“We definitely missed Jadyn, ” said sophomore and sister, Jillese Bush. “but we played strongly. It was really cool to see everyone else step up and make some big plays.”

The Braves hope to continue their five game winning streak as they face Nathan Hale at BBHS on Friday, December 18, 2015, at 6:30 PM.
