After another impressive win over metro opponent, Roosevelt on Wednesday 13, 2016, the Blanchet women’s basketball team is still undefeated.
The team’s perfect record puts them at the top of metros leading over their highly ranked competition Garfield and Lakeside, two teams whom the Braves dominated against.
Not only are the Braves at the top of the league as a team, but two players are dominating league competition individually.
Junior Jadyn Bush is currently in second place for the top scorer in Metro league play. Bush averages 19.2 points a game behind Garfield’s Juanita Agosto who averages only 1.9 points more.
“I’m enjoying this season and trying my best,” said Bush. “I would like to lead the league in scoring, but it’s more important to me that my team works well together as a whole”.
Junior Taylor Chambers is also playing a major role in her team’s success this season. Chambers is averaging the second amount of assists per game behind Agosto by 2.
The team hopes to continue their success and faces Metro opponent Holy Names on Friday 15, 2016, at 6:30 at Blanchet.
