After losing their first game of the season, the varsity boys lacrosse team came out strong on March 17 2016, and was able to walk away with a successful 12-8 victory over Overlake.

The team started off strong,  scoring a quick first goal and setting the tempo for the rest of the game.
Offensively, the team was led by freshman Forrest Snorsky who scored three goals. Seniors Sam Gardner and Jeff Petchl also added goals and kept most of the game on their competitors half.

Defensively, goalie Jaybry Doyle-Huph, blocked several goals and controlled the defense. Senior Christian Peterson also had an outstanding game on defense and is looking forward to the rest of the season.

“It was really cool to have the team connect offensively and work together on defense,” said Peterson. “The chemistry is already outstanding, and we’re looking forward to some more wins.”

Senior Noah Traynor, who is recovering from a knee injury, saw limited minutes but played to the best of his abilities.

“Even though Noah only played a little bit, he still helped the team keep up the moral and did his best,” said junior Lucas Gordon.

The team faces Golden, Colorado at 6pm on Wednesday, 23 March 2016.
