JV Baseball is continuing to catch, dive and make plays.

On Wednesday, April 20th, the Bishop Blanchet JV baseball team played the competitive opponent, Inglemoor. The boys went straight to the bus barn after school, eager to get another win under their belt.

The boys got to the fields around 3:00, and started warming up.

“The game started with nerves built up,”  said junior Grady Dittmaier, “But as soon as we got on the field, the team became comfortable and confident.”

This confidence overall led to a great game for the JV team. Along the hot weather conditions, the boys were able to pull out a win.

Some players had an exceptional game including Dittmaier, who left everything out on the field hitting  3 RBI’s, and pitching a personal best in the seventh inning.

Some freshman who also performed their personal bests of the season were Jake Freeman, Joey Riley, Lucas Perez and Scott Young.

“I felt really good about my game,” said Freeman, “I really tried to put the things I’ve been working on in practice into my game.”

The Braves are now 10-8 in the season.
