A Rough End to the JV Girls Soccer Season

The JV Girls Soccer Team wrapped up their season on October 20th with a tough 8-1 loss against West Seattle.

While they may not have had the best season in terms of wins and losses, ending with a record of 3-9-1, the team has reflected over this past season and is looking forward to improving for next year.

“I’ve made a lot of new friends,” said sophomore Amelia Tiesi, “I think for next season we need to work on our communication and passing.”

In addition to technical skills, the team hopes to step up their overall effort for the upcoming season.

“I think we got worse with us putting in effort during the games and practices,” said freshman Alex Ruiz, “this was probably a result of us losing most of our games.”

While the team might not be happy about their record this year, they have high hopes for next season.

“Since we’ve finished our first season as a team,” said Ruiz “I think we’ll expect more for next year. Personally I’m hoping to improve my offensive skills.”

Next fall with the infusion of incoming freshman players and the possible loss of current players to the varsity team, the JV girls soccer team will be back on Mickey Nash Field.
