Ballard throws new look at victorious Braves

The Bishop Blanchet girls varsity played against Ballard High School on December 7, 2016, winning 52-30.

In the first quarter, the girls started off only leading by 4 starting off slow. But the second quarter they finally picked up the pace. Some major points being scored by senior captain Annie Maher off the boards and junior Katy Merrywell draining 3 point shots.

“We started off slow but ended up really coming together by the end,” said senior captain Annie Maher.

In the second half, the Braves kept their lead and played hard till the very end. Swing players Anna Summers and Jordan Ruiz came into the game, played out the game, and kept pushing the ball.

“It was cool to play against a zone we have never seen before,” said Anna Summer ” it made us slow down and think about what we needed to do”.

The Blanchet Girls varsity are rescheduling the game against Seattle Prep currently due to the snow day . The next game is against Roosevelt High School
