JVC Girls’ basketball lost to Seattle Prep this past Saturday, December 16th by the score of 18-32

The girls fought hard and played well, but ultimately lost to Seattle Prep. Freshman Mia Jones says they plan to bounce back in their next game with the skills they have gained this season.

Freshman Post  Mia Jones was proud of her team’s defense in this past game and the fact that they played well using strategies that they had practiced before hand.

“We had some really good defense and rebounds,” said Jones. “We also had some really good plays with strategies we’ve been practicing for a while now.”

Freshman Point Gaurd Abbie Orse understands that while it may seem that the girls JVC team isn’t doing very well, they plan to bounce back soon.

“These past two games haven’t reflected our true potential as a team,” said Orse. “Although the games have been rough, it will only make our comeback as a team more impactful.”

Freshman Post Yordanos Mamo is using this past game to reflect and grow as a player and to see what her and her team could work to do better in their next game.

“We lost our last game and I wasn’t really playing my best,” said Mamo. “My goals for the next game are mainly working on passes and working better as a team.”

The girls play Kentwood High School at Blanchet this Wednesday, December 14th.
