Traveling down to Renton for their next swim meet against Lindbergh, the boys swim team defeated the Eagles with a score of 95 – 81.

“The swimmers are self motivated at workouts,” said coach Mike McCloskey, “and are working on the finer details of racing. It takes consistent practice to make these details habits.”

The boys swim team faced a hard loss the previous week to the Garfield Bulldogs with a score of 94 – 86. With this in mind, the boys knew they had to put up a hard battle against their next opponents, the Lindbergh Eagles.

“They’re always refining their technique and attention to detail,” said coach Meaghan McCloskey. “It’s the little things in swimming that help them move through the water smoother/faster and get off the blocks quicker.”

So far in the season the team has a record of 3 – 2, trying to improve their personal times and records by paying attention to small details to secure spots in Metros. Their last regular season meet of the season and senior night is this Friday against the combined team of West Seattle and Chief Sealth.
