Sometimes you need a break from the heavy, stressful demands of life. Often times, stress and tiredness can make us upset and ruin our days, even sometimes our health. Although, meditation can cure, prevent and even stop all these things from happening. Don’t believe me? Keep reading..

Over the years, the significance of meditation has been controversial, according to The Physical and Psychological Effects of Meditation: A Review of Contemporary Research By Michael Murphy, Steven Donovan, and Eugene Taylor. Yet all the research has shown that meditation can play a significant role in stress and health. For instance, in the late 1960s Herbert Benson started studying Transcendental Meditation practitioners and Tibetan Buddhist meditators, and other generic forms of relaxation.

In his book, The Relaxation Response he described procedures he believed were generic to the onset of meditation and other contemplative practices. “He had identified that a relaxation response is a natural reflex mechanism which, when practiced twenty minutes a day, reduced stress and physiologically had the opposite effect of the fight-flight reflex.” (Eugene Taylor)

The purpose of Meditation is to create a euphoria of serenity and calmness, it can help you overcome stress and find your inner peace. By simply meditating 15-20 minutes per day you can experience a range of positive effects, such as: emotional well-being, brain strength, and physical well-being.
