The Bishop Blanchet JV girls soccer team welcomes many strong and decent freshmen on their team. The team is unfamiliar but is well on their way to success with the two first games of the season crossed off.

On Tuesday, September 5th, JV played Archbishop Murphy at Mickey Naish field, and left everything on it. The final score was 4-1, with goals from Laura Beard, Sarah King, who are two freshman; and the sophomore Logan Gray.

Sophomore Doriana Hasselbalch says, “the previous players from last year were hopeful going into the game due to last year, but the new freshmen were nervous going in. It was our first game and we struggled with communication which resulted in a goal for them. They were easy to pass around and we improved throughout the game”. She is hopeful that they will improve throughout the season.

Although this game was a success, on September 12th, BBHS played Bainbridge at Bainbridge and suffered a last-minute loss of 2-1.

Sophomore and forward player Logan Gray says, “to be honest I didn’t really feel strong about the game. Offensively we did pretty well but on the defensive side we really struggled”.
