“We have been on a good run,” said senior runner Jason Knoblich, “but struggled against stronger competition this week.”

Struggling behind O’Dea and Issaquah, Bishop Blanchet finished with a total score of 92 points. The only runner to place in the top ten was David Oschner who  finished sixth with a respectable time of 21:26.70. Blanchet, facing tougher competition, only managed to place three runners in the top twenty spots.

“I have faith in our team’s ability to bounce back,” said Knoblich “We have the talent and just need to get back on track in order to keep winning”.

This optimistic outlook is shared by the rest of the team and they’re eager to compete again. The Boys’ Cross Country competes again on Saturday, September 30 at the 22nd Curtis XC Invitational. The meet occurs at Chambers Creek Properties Central Meadow and begins varsity begins at 10:30 AM.
