The Girl’s Swim Team Continues to KICK the Competition

The Girl’s Swim Team Swim Team faced Nathan Hale at Queen Anne Pool on Friday September 22 and came out with another team win.

The meet featured very solid performances by the whole team, but a few performances stood out. The girls put in a lot of hard work and made a lot of progress. Kayla Ponti manage to drop time in 2 events, the 200 IM and 500 Free.

“I am really excited that I dropped time in two events last week” says Ponti, “I am looking forward to the rest of the season”

The girls are continuing to pick up the pace this season and are showing improvement every week. They have been overall placing higher and dropping more time every week. Greta Geivett, who is new to the team this year, and is swimming in her first meet this Friday and she feels “kind of nervous, but excited” says Geivett.

The team will participate in their next meet Friday, October 6. They hope to carry their winning streak after today!
