Mr. McFeron Jumps Back in Time to his BBHS Homecoming

One of the most exciting, and memorable times of the year at BBHS is Homecoming week. For decades, it has brought the school together for a week full of school spirit, and celebration of the new school year.

Even for past Braves, Homecoming became a lasting memory. Throughout the school we have many BBHS alumni including Jesse McFeron, and many others. One of McFerons’s favorite Homecoming memories was tradition week. He particularly enjoyed the lake race, and all of the other spirit events.

“We used to have people cram into the phone booth and play a faculty/senior basketball game” said Mcferon.

Homecoming has been and always will be a major part of BBHS tradition. We use this opportunity as a school, and as a community to grow closer to one another and to celebrate our school spirit. Not only does it get the school excited for the year, but it brings the everyone together, as one family.

Although McFeron cherishes his homecoming experiences at BBHS, he has many more memories that he will never forget about. Even as an 8th grader, McFeron remembers the welcoming and accepting atmosphere of the BBHS community. He even felt especially welcomed by the seniors when he was a freshman. He also felt like he was always at home, being able to pursue his talents and passions by participating in drama and cross country.

These memories are what brought McFeron back home to BBHS as a teacher. He knew that he would be welcomed back with the same love that he remembered from high school.
