JV Soccer Manages to Hold Seattle Prep

The girls JV soccer team managed to hold the Panthers on September 28th on Mickey Nash Field.

 

The Braves were looking forward to playing Seattle Prep for the first time of the year. Nerves were running high due to their dominant season the previous year. The team managed to come out strong and surprise Seattle Prep. The Braves ended the game with a tie by the final quarter. The JV team plays the Panthers again on October 19 at Memorial Stadium. The Braves hope to grab the last win before the end of the season.

 

Sophomore, Doriana Hasselbalch explained the great highs and lows of the game.

 

“We were looking forward to it because they have always been our rivals and were really good last year” said Hasselbalch, “ we played really well”.

 

The Lady Braves surprised themselves with some stellar play on both sides of the ball. The JV team were looking to be a tough opponent against Seattle Prep, but were surprised that they managed to tie.

 

“The expectation for Seattle Prep was for it to be a tough game” said Hasselbalch , “and for them to beat us”.

 

Doriana expressed the many strengths they have on the field. She expressed their great effort and clutch play towards the later half of the game.
