When interviewing senior Connor Mahoney, you can feel his excitement about this upcoming 2017-2018 wrestling season. Mahoney and Zachariah Gomez have been on the wrestling team since they were both Freshmen and hope to make large improvements on their skills this year.

Although Mahoney said that the wrestling team usually has an underwhelming amount of people going out for the sport so there were no cuts to be made, this year’s team did manage to get a few more faces to try the sport. Two freshman, two sophomores, one junior, and this year two new seniors joined the team, Aiden Kelly and Alex Missenti.

Mahoney says that he is looking forward to wrestle Greco-Roman style wrestling “You can’t touch the legs so it is all upper body” said Mahoney when talking about trying to wrestle in a private wrestling club to improve his skills even more.
