Coach Cody Hopkins is happy to see a new mix of faces for the team and is excited to see where the team goes this season.

“The [JV baseball] team has a healthy mix of old and new faces this year, split almost evenly between between freshmen and sophomores,” said Hopkins. “The team is filled with competitive young men who have shown a real desire to win games thus far this season”.

On tuesday, March 13, the team had their first loss of the season to Monroe. The team had multiple pitchers, but gave 10 runs to Monroe. Batters had five hits, scoring five runs in the sixth inning. The team lost to Monroe 10-7.

Over the course of the season I would like to see the two classes blend into one cohesive team,” said Hopkins. “Ideally behind the leadership of our returning players”.

The team plays again on Wednesday, March 23 against Bainbridge at Bainbridge.
