Varsity Boys Soccer Team Look Strong After Busy Week

The Varsity Boys Soccer Team won two out of three games in a busy week, showing off their depth and overpowering offensive ability.

On March 19th, the Braves had a convincing win over Rainier Beach, 5-0. The Braves showed outstanding teamwork on both offense and defense, completely  controlling the pace of the game with their possession. Goals were scored by Cole Maly, Aidan Bullard, Lukas Delen, and Marc Chiu, with assists from Eli Sherwood, Keegan Hilt, Rowan Rathbun, and  Delen. The seven different players involved in the goals shows the Braves’ strength and ability to step up.

“We outplayed them on both sides of the ball, offense and defense,” said Sherwood. “Our bench players all played really well, too.”

The Braves took on Cleveland on the 21st, and had a whopping 8-2 victory at home. They showed no mercy, as they once again let their goal scorers lead the way to victory. Kurtis Delen was the player of the game, netting three goals. The team was able to really get into their rhythm and dominate.

“We stuck true to our fundamentals and had confidence coming off of our last game,” said Senior Matty Campbell.

For the last game of the week, the team took on Nathan Hale away. They unfortunately suffered a 2-0
