The girls softball team played against Shorewood High School on Monday, 4/19 and Bainbridge High School on Wednesday, 4/21, with both games resulting in victory for the Braves.

The game against Shorewood was at Meridian Park and was a very high scoring game, but only played five innings since it was a practice game.

“We played really bad, but ended up winning 20-19,” said senior Greta Geivett.

The game on Wednesday was at SWAC against Bainbridge. The game started out really slow, but in the fifth and sixth inning, the Braves started scoring and ended up winning 3-0.

“It was really exciting because we haven’t beat them in a very long time,” said Geivett, “It has been more than four years.”

The Braves were supposed to play in a game against Roosevelt on Friday, but it was rained out.

“The season has gone great so far,” said senior Jessica Segle, “We have some good new freshman and overall the team has stepped up to compete in every game we play.”

The Braves next game is on Monday, 3/26 at Rainier Beach High School at 4:00.
