The Varsity boys baseball team continues to play hard through their season. With the weather warming up, they have a boost of energy that has really shown through their success.

On April 23rd, the boys went against Bainbridge to finish up a game that was previously postponed. They won the game 5-4.

“We had already played through the top of the seventh inning to a tie at an earlier date” said Senior Captain Simon Serwold. “We should’ve finished the game but the umpires called the time limit. On thursday we only played half of an inning but it was enough time to win the game”

“Luke Bucher had a huge three run home run to tie the game at 4” said Coach Mike Finnegan.

Bainbridge had to get on the ferry and come to Seattle to finish up the game because the Braves scored in the bottom of the 7th the previous game.

“With heroics from Jake Freeman, he hit the ball up the middle to win the game” said Senior Captain Scott Yeung. “We all ran out to celebrate and a Gatorade cooler was dumped onto Freeman as we walked off with the win”

The boys next game is on April 30th against Seattle Prep at Chief Sealth at 7pm.
