On Wednesday, April 25th, the JV boys soccer team defeated O’Dea in an intense 3-2 win.

Continuing their successful season, the Braves used their skill to dominate and possess during the whole match. Aside from the consistent connecting of passes, Matthew Maccarrone, Emmanuel Sanchez, and Jay Baron worked together to make three striking goals.

According to sophomore Emmanuel Sanchez, the Braves made the winning goal in the last seven minutes.

“It was tied in the last seven minutes,” said Sanchez. “Matthew Maccarrone attempted to score, but then the goalie made a mistake and the ball slowly rolled in.”

The intense game consisted of many great highlights, resulting in a hard fought win.

Junior Ethan Freiburger believes that the win was a good way to begin the last few games of the season.

“An amazing highlight was Emmanuel’s nasty left curve shot,” said Baron. “The game ended with a win and everyone is excited for Monday’s game.”

The JV boys soccer team sealed their winning streak on Wednesday’s game against O’Dea.

The next game is Monday, April 30th against Chief Sealth at 4 PM at Lower Woodland.
