The College Clock is Ticking

With less than three weeks left to make one of the biggest decisions of their life, the seniors are scrambling to figure out where they want to spend their next four years.

Many seniors are going on last minute college trips in order to help make their decisions a little bit easier. With a deadline of May 1, they have little time left to make this really big decision. The stress of this decision does not come lightly as it is accompanied by the weight of school work and prom just around the corner.

“I have no idea where I want to go,” said senior Natalie Medved “I have it narrowed down to two, but I still have some tours left.”

That is the scenario for many students. They have narrowed it down to a few, but can’t seem to decide which would be the best fit. On the other hand, a large number of students have known where they want to go next year for quite some time now. Everyday, more and more seniors have made a decision.

“I knew when I got into Gonzaga that it would be where I was probably going to go” said senior TJ Kenny. “I just had a good feeling.”

The senior class has expressed a lot of feelings of stress and pressure during this time period. AP tests are quickly approaching, many projects, tests, and assignments are due, and the big one.. Prom. With prom just around the corner, seniors are rushing to plan their night, all while juggling school work and their big life choice.

“I am super overwhelmed.” said Medved. “talking about all of it makes me super stressed. I just want to know.”

College decision day is May 1. Seniors are encouraged to wear their colleges gear, while underclassmen can show their support by wearing gear of the college they would like to attend in the future.
