Boys’ Tennis Team Showing Signs of Strength

The Varsity Bishop Blanchet Boys’ Tennis team has shown significant capabilities to be one of the stronger teams in the league this season as it boasts a 4-1 record.

The only loss, a mere 2-3 defeat, was against Roosevelt High School and was a match the team felt should’ve had a different outcome.

“We started out slow against Roosevelt and specifically struggled to close leads by our opponents,” said Junior Felix Schuler. “We started to heat up towards the end but it was a little too late.”

The victories, on the other hand, have demonstrated the Brave’s abilities on the court with dominant performances. Especially in matches against Franklin and Rainier Beach High School.

“We looked like a real team in our victories,” said Sophomore Owen Heffernan. “I think we have the potential to really excel this season, there's no reason we shouldn’t.”

The Brave’s have shown a lot of great ability and there’s potential for a deep run for the team this season. The Boys’ Tennis team faces off next on April 24 at 4 p.m. against the Garfield
Bulldogs at Lower Woodland.
