Anna Folger ’26 joins The Miter as a staff writer.

One of Anna’s favorite hobbies is thrifting. She finds it exciting because she never knows what she’ll discover, and she appreciates that it’s also affordable. Another activity she enjoys is painting pottery, which she considers a unique and creative outlet. She especially loves doing it with friends, since it allows for meaningful conversations while working on something fun.

One of Anna’s proudest accomplishments is making it through her junior year. Between the demands of the junior research project, AP Lang assignments, and preparing for her senior year, she faced a lot of stress. However, she found cheerleading to be the perfect outlet. After making the team at the end of her sophomore year, she has continued cheering and cherishes being part of a team with her friends. For her, cheerleading is not only about performing but also about spreading positive energy and school spirit throughout the community.

This year, Anna’s goals for the yearbook include putting 100% effort into every line, page, and image to help create a fantastic final product. She believes that with consistent effort both inside and outside of class, the team can achieve that vision. Additionally, she hopes to strengthen her writing skills, recognizing how valuable strong writing is in everyday life and wanting to continue to grow in that area.
