Braves roll over Kamiak in opener

The Bishop Blanchet Varsity Football team had their first game of the season against Kamiak High School at Mickey Naish Field on Friday, September 6th with a strong win for the Braves, final score 42-0.  

The team has been preparing for the 2019 season since last spring with weights and summer conditioning. Many players spent up to four days a week working out to gain strength.

“It is great getting off to a successful start after working so hard this off season,” said senior offensive and defensive lineman Chris Dyckman.

Senior wide receiver Dylan Lee scored his first touchdown at last Friday’s game.

“It was just amazing to have all the hard work finally pay off,” said Lee. “and be able to play with my brothers in an experience of a lifetime.” 

 The stands were full of the Blanchet community who cheered on their team with an exciting win the first week of school.

“I am looking forward to the six home games we have”  said senior wide receiver and punter Connor Stutz, “and playing Prep on senior night.”
