Emotions and energy were high for the Braves as they headed on the bus to Spanaway, WA on Saturday, November 9. The Bishop Blanchet Varsity Football team played in the district playoffs vs. Bethel High School.

For the class of 2020, this was the last football game the boys would ever play in all together. Unfortunately, the Braves could not keep up the fight against Bethel High School. The final score was 13-41.

With this loss, the Braves were finished for the season. Knowing that it could be the last game of the season, devoted fans drove for an hour to support their friends and family in the game. One highlight oft touchdown.

“Eric’s first touchdown got everyone on the field excited!” said cheerleader Casey Campbell.

Other team members were thoughtful about their years of football.

“It has been a great four years. Even though we didn’t have the best season, it was a great last year as a team, and I am sad to see it go,” said Senior Connor Stutz.

“We have had four years of a great brotherhood, football is definitely going to be one of my best high school memories.” said Senior Henry Johnson.
