The Bishop Blanchet varsity basketball team played Lakeside on Friday, February 7th, at Bishop Blanchet, 55-22, recording a solid win.

Starting off the game on Friday was Senior Night to appreciate the senior basketball players and their families. Senior Andrew Hollomon and Senior Eddie Shelton started the basketball warm ups with an exciting show of ripping off Bishop Blanchet sweats and throwing them into the crowd.

“Beating Lakeside our senior night was awesome! I am going to miss high school basketball next year,” said senior Ryan Moore.

Senior Matt Martin demonstrated good defensive plays throughout the game, helping the team. Junior Tyler Korman had a good game, providing many rebounds and big assists and a layup at the end of the game, keeping the students section excited.

“It was really fun having the student section packed and spirited for our last home game,” said Senior Jarek Woodward.

The Braves take on Ballard High School in the Metro Playoffs February 11th, and will play against Seattle Prep on Wednesday the 12th, at Nathan Hale High School.
