Bishop Blanchet boys varsity basketball played Bellevue High School at Bellevue College February 15th, losing to Bellevue 53-47, effectively eliminating the Braves out of the playoffs.

The last game of the season for the senior boys was definitely not their ideal way to end the season, but it was still a good game.

“It was a hard game to keep up, but this season has been so much fun with all the guys; said Ryan Moore,  we have really gotten close and I’m proud of everyone this season.”

Senior Matt Martin played well with aggressive defensive plays throughout the game. “I didn’t know if we would be playing in another game this season said Senior Matt Martin, so I really wanted to try my best to have a good last game with my teammates,” said Senior Matt Martin.

Junior Tyler Kormon had many rebounds and assists during the game as well.

A big crowd with supporters filling the stands came to the game on Saturday night.

Super fan Emily Vanwagenen shouted loudly, getting the fans all riled -up. “I just love basketball season and it makes me so sad that it is my last year watching the Braves play, said Vanwagenen. I am really close friends with a few of the players, and I am sad the season is over, but proud to be a Brave!
