On Wednesday, May 20th, the Supreme Court blocked the release of all parts of the Robert S. Mueller report of 2019.

In March of 2019, an investigation into Russian collusion in the 2016 Presidential Election was submitted to Attorney General Barr. According to an article published by Foxnews politicians, mainly of the Democratic party, shared a common belief that Russia assisted current President, Donald J. Trump, in his win. The Democractic party has an ongoing investigation of President Trump, leading them to request release of report documents, which was further denied.

“As a former Trial Court Clerk for the state of Oregon” said Blanchet parent Megan Jarman “I know for a fact that Grand Jury’s are by law always sealed.”

By law, Jury documents are kept in secrecy. According to Fox, The Department of Justice (DOJ) claims that having a court evaluate the House’s needs related to impeachment would be in considerable tension with the House’s sole Power of Impeachment and deemed unconstitutional.

On the contrary, the House is determined to keep all inquiries going in whichever area they think is necessary for the greater good of the country.

“Many individuals are not satisfied with the outcome of the Mueller probe,” said Jarman, “leaving Democrats with a desire to continue the investigation with more diligence.”

Although fair and regular to block release of a report in most cases, according to an article from The New York Times,  the House argues that because of the investigation’s ties to the impeachment inquiry, this case deserves special, more detailed inspections.

As House Lawyers and other reputable political figures join involvement to the situation, the Mueller report continues its legacy of controversy.
