Cheyanne Hicks, Reporter
Senior Cheyanne Hicks is a first-year reporter for The Miter, getting her news from her fellow students and teachers at Blanchet. Cheyanne is a great observer and listener, which paves the way for a great story for the Blanchet community to read.
Cheyanne started high school with her focus on athletics, which included being a leader on the Track and Field team. Cheyanne also loves hanging out with her friends on the bowling team, giving advice to the younger bears at retreats, and creating fun experiences for the students as a member of the Senior Class Cabinet. Along with Senior Class Cabinet, Cheyanne is a member of the Student Apostle Leadership Team and Student Ambassadors. She loves watching new shows with her older brother and taking her little sister shopping for new styles. Her favorite class this year is Racial and Ethnic America with Mr. McGill but she is also very excited for World Religions with the new teacher, Mr. Berge. She is ready for the challenge that her first year of interviewing and reporting will bring!
Cheyanne is very excited for what journalism will teach her and has high hopes of bringing together the Blanchet community, including all of our students, faculty, family, and alumni. She hopes she can show what it's like being a bear through her creative writing and capture the events our bears are a part of this year!
