Nicole Needham, Reporter
Nicole Needham is a first year journalist for The Miter. A senior at Bishop Blanchet High School, Nicole likes to keep up to date on current events through sources such as The Washington Post, The New York Times and CNN.
She was a member of Donation Rotation and is interested in art, the environment and helping out in her community. She volunteers at St. Martin De Porres, Lake City Food Bank, trying to show compassion and helping all those she encounters in need.
Her mom is extremely invested in current events going on in the country, as well as global news. Nicole finds it eye opening and extremely useful having discussions with her about these events.
Nicole joined journalism because she wanted to have a bigger role in the Blanchet community since this is her last year. She wants to cherish every second and bring insightful and captivating stories which the Blanchet readers will love. She wants to make the students and staff a big part of her articles since they are the heart of Blanchet. The majority of her articles will include interviews and quotes to include various perspectives. She is excited to expand her knowledge and writing skills throughout this school year.
