Friday, March 18th, 2016, was a memorable day for the many Braves that filled the Ernie Rose Gymnasium.

The Talent Show is an event worth looking forward to every year.

It allows for  great opportunities for the Brave community to gather together and celebrate students that have a multitude of talents, ranging from playing an instrument, singing, dancing or other wild acts.

One of the first acts to kick of the show was senior Sarah Fesalbon.

Fesalbon is well known among the student body for her wide vocal range during student masses and assemblies, but for the show, she decided to switch it up and show the student body another talent she has.

She stepped out in front of the student body and performed “I See The Light”, a song from the movie Tangled, on the cello.

This was the first solo on the cello that Fesalbon has ever performed at school.

“Before the show started, I was nervous because I hadn’t played a cello solo in front of the whole school before,” said Fesalbon, “And after I was so proud of myself and happy that I did it and that people liked it.”

Having only been playing the cello for 2 years, Fesalbon looked like a pro in front of everyone.

Another standout performer was senior Jacinta Nguyen, singer and guitarist of 13 years.

Nguyen performed her own original song titled “Beautiful”.

“I wrote the song to remind others of their worth and their beauty,” said Nguyen about her powerful lyrics.

The Talent Show not only showcase the immense talent within the Brave community, it also allows the opportunity for students to have their stories and messages spoken through creative outlets.

“I love watching the talent show every year,” said senior Catherine Mead- Smith, ” it helps me appreciate the talent that is within the school.”

Although the talent is incredible, the liveliest part of the entire show is the outpouring of love and support the Brave fans show all of the performers before, during and after their performances.
