Present Agenda of Future Business Leaders

FBLA at Blanchet is a club that is made up of students who are interested in expanding on their knowledge of business and leadership.

The students are dedicated to participating in conferences and activities at Blanchet that help them succeed as leaders and amateur business men and women. Their most recent focus has been fundraising.

“We most recently attended a Winter Leadership Conference in Redmond,” said junior Alex Hunter, “At conferences we participate in workshops and competitive events. After conferences, we review what we did, and lay our plans for the next conference at our weekly meetings.”

Ms. Clarice Hunter, the club’s moderator, teaches various business-core classes. Entrepreneurship, Daily Living Skills, and Microsoft Office.

“Ms. Hunter is the best leader for this club,” said junior Caleb Bean, “She knows exactly what she is talking about and is a great role model. I hope to be as business educated as she is in the future, because all aspects of business are so present in everyday life.”

Most recently, FBLA has been selling Italian sodas to get the experience of running a small business, and will soon take over running the Brave Cave.

“Working in the Brave Cave and selling sodas has actually been very beneficial to my learning and understanding of business,” said senior Anna Reese, “I think it is amazing we get opportunities at school to practice sales and put what we have learned to good use!”

Anna  Reese has been a member of FBLA for four  years and has enjoyed being a part of such an informative and involved club.

The Future Business Leaders of America club is always open to new members and eager to inform students of business skills and opportunities. They meet every Tuesday in Room 206.
